Our Story

Chi-Town Mahj began with four friends who shared a love of learning, laughter, and bringing people together. What started around a Mahjong table quickly grew into a passion for introducing others to a game that blends strategy, tradition, and community.

As we taught friends, hosted games, and watched new players gain confidence, we realized Mahjong was about so much more than the tiles β€” it was about creating meaningful connections and lasting friendships.

Today, Chi-Town Mahj is proud to build a welcoming community where players of all experience levels can learn, play, and enjoy the timeless game of American Mahjong.

Corene discovered Mahjong while looking for a fun way to connect with friends, and it quickly became much more than a game β€” it became a passion. She loves bringing people together, building community, and helping others gain the confidence to enjoy Mahjong from their very first lesson.
